Tangy Orange Bliss Balls

Posted by Brooke Klower on

These orange bliss balls are a hit because they give a citrus and chocolate buzz all in one! They are also nutrient dense containing selenium (great for thyroid function) as well as zinc, iron, potassium and magnesium.
Let me know what you think!
  • 1-2 oranges
  • 1/2 cup of buckwheat kernels
  • 5 brazil nuts
  • 3/4 cup of cashews or almonds
  • 1 cup of shredded coconut
  • 12 medijool dates
  • 3 Tsp coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup of cacao powder
  1. Add all the dry ingredients into the processor: cacao powder, buckwheat kernels, brazil nuts, cashews and coconut and blend on high for 1 minute.
  2. Pit the medjool dates and add them in and blend on high for 40 seconds.
  3. In the meantime grate the zest of one or two oranges (skin) - depending on how strong you would like the orange flavour.
  4. Add in the processor with coconut oil and blend for 30 seconds.
  5. Roll batter into bite size balls and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Eat and enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this zesty treat and all the nutritional benefits that come with it! Thyroid function as well as increased immunity, adrenal and nervous system functioning (thanks to the zinc and magnesium!)
Stay healthy and happy,
Balanced beings x x
