AIRLY KENNEDY

WHAT DOES AIRLY TREAT?

I love working with women and children to support their health and well-being enabling them to live a high vitality life.

Preconception, pregnancy and postpartum care are areas of importance to me  because it helps give children the best start in life and supports women to have an empowering transition into motherhood. Health concerns I commonly treat are acne, fatigue, eczema, recurrent sickness, thyroid conditions, gut bacterial overgrowths, parasites, PMS and menstrual irregularities. I have a particular passion for learning about and treating the gut microbiome. Imbalances in the gut don’t only cause symptoms such as bloating, constipation and diarrhoea, but they affect other body systems such as hormones, immunity and skin. Delving into different testing to uncover the root causes of health symptoms is an aspect of naturopathy that I thoroughly enjoy and is a vital component in achieving clients health goals.

Herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle advice are all utilised in the treatment process in alignment with each clients unique needs to ensure optimal results. It is so fascinating how the different body systems interconnect and it’s incredible how, with the right treatment, the body can work in harmony - its natural state.

WHAT IS AIRLY'S FAVOURITE HERB AND WHY?

Withania - it helps the body adapt to stress, supports the nervous system and calms an overthinking mind. It’s a beautiful herb for when you have a lot happening in life. It also can be used in children to support the clearance of pathogenic bacteria in the gut microbiome, which I find fascinating!

WHAT IS AIRLY'S FAVOURITE NUTRIENT AND WHY?

Vitamin C - it’s an antioxidant and super important for immune function, making it an amazing herb for recurrent illness and infections. Vitamin C is also needed to support the adrenals, especially in times of stress.

WHAT IS AIRLY'S FAVOURITE FOOD AND WHY?

Coconut yogurt - it’s probiotic and supports gut health and also contains healthy fats. It’s also a great dairy alternative. Coconut yoghurt is quite versatile and can be used in so many recipes! I love it in smoothies, overnight oats and homemade sauces.

ZOE CASTRAN

WHAT DOES ZOE TREAT?

She enjoys treating a variety of health conditions, however, she has a strong passion for gut health, amending nutrient deficiencies and assisting with skin conditions. Having suffered with acne herself, she is passionate and well versed in evidence based treatment. She strongly believes that the foundation of good health starts in the gut, so eradicating any gastrointestinal issues such as bacterial overgrowth, leaky gut, food intolerances, parasites, constipation, diarrhoea is paramount to feeling your best.
She also enjoys treating a range of health conditions such as metabolic health, weight loss, blood sugar regulation, managing stress/anxiety, overcoming adrenal fatigue and supporting female health and wellbeing (ranging from menstrual concerns, PCOS, endometriosis and pre-conceptive care). Understanding the root cause and addressing any underlying dysfunction in the body is Zoe's primary focus when treating her clients, as this allows for targeted treatment to achieve optimal results.
In addition to being a Naturopath, Zoe is a qualified Nutritionist, and loves using food as medicine to make dietary recommendations to support your health journey.

WHAT IS ZOE'S FAVOURITE HERB AND WHY?

Golden Seal: This is an endangered herb, so it needs to be used sparingly and in cases where it is really required! However, this wonderful herb is like liquid gold! It is anti-inflammatory and known as the herbal 'antibiotic' and has powerful antimicrobial and tissue restorative effects upon the mucous membranes throughout all body systems.

WHAT IS ZOE'S FAVOURITE NUTRIENT AND WHY?

This is a tough choice between Glutamine and Zinc! As I am so passionate about the gut, and glutamine is a wonderful amino acid that helps to heal and seal the gut lining. It addition it supports immune health and assists with muscle recovery. Zinc is another wonder nutrient as it helps with skin conditions, particularly acne and helps with wound healing. It also works on the gut lining and integrity, boosts immune function and is so important for pre-conceptive care.

WHAT IS ZOE'S FAVOURITE FOOD AND WHY?

Organic Grass fed steak as it is rich in protein and iron. Making sure you have a high quality protein source at each meal helps with stabilizing blood sugar levels, providing stable moods/reducing anxiety via neurotransmitter synthesis and helps with muscle repair. Protein is the building blocks for all the cells in our body so having a good quality option is essential!
